

Bashkiria has a program of state guarantees of free provision of medical care to citizens in terms of preventive measures. The meeting of the Republican Government chaired by Prime Minister Andrei Nazarov was devoted to its implementation, the press service of the government told Bashinform News Agency.
“7 billion 433 million rubles were allocated from the compulsory medical insurance fund to carry out preventive measures to preserve and improve the health of citizens in 2023. This is 40% more than in 2022. The examinations will cover about 2 million patients. This is a serious task that requires maximum efficiency on the part of the Ministry of Health and medical organizations,” Andrey Nazarov emphasized.
The main goal of preventive measures is to identify circulatory system diseases and oncological diseases that form the leading causes of death in the population. Medical examination of the adult population is carried out once every three years, starting from the age of 40 - annually.
The Minister of Health of Bashkortostan Airat Rakhmatullin reported on the progress of preventive and medical examinations. Since the beginning of the year, more than 1.2 million people have passed them. According to the results, circulatory system diseases were detected for the first time in 25,212 patients, digestive organs in 14,119, respiratory organs in 3,778, malignant neoplasms in 598, and diabetes mellitus in 2,310. More than 117,000 patients were placed for dispensary observation, 648 people were sent to resolve the issue of providing medical care, and another 64,154 were sent for additional examinations.
The Head of the Cabinet instructed the Ministry of Health to ensure the achievement of benchmarks for implementing preventive measures and improving the quality of medical examinations.
