During the current harvesting campaign, Bashkir combines operators will have to harvest 2.185 million hectares of crops, of which 1.76 million hectares are cereals and legumes. As of July 31, work is underway on farms in 46 districts of the region. About 10% of the area has been mowed.
Grain growers threshed more than 150 thousand hectares of grain and leguminous crops. So far, winter crops are mainly harvested in the region.
Gross grain threshing exceeded 380 thousand tons, of which 320 thousand tons fell on the winter crop. Grain yield today is 2.5 tons/ha.
At the same time, agrarians from 39 republic districts started harvesting spring crops, mainly peas and barley. 45,000 ha have been mowed, yielding about 1.7 tons/ha.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture, the grain harvest under optimal weather conditions is expected to reach 2.8-3.3 million tons (with domestic consumption of 2.5 million tons). The safety of the crop will be ensured by 34 elevators with a total storage capacity of about 2 million tons.
