"Smart City - Smart Country" international forum in Ufa has become most productive and eventful

The IV International Forum for the Development and Digital Transformation of Cities, held last week in Ufa, became the most eventful and productive of all previous forums held earlier in other cities of Russia. This was stated by the Republican Minister of Foreign Economic Relations and Congress Activities Margarita Bolycheva at the Republican Government operational meeting.

According to the minister, representatives of 78 regions of Russia and guests from seven other countries took part in the work of the international forum-2023. In total, almost three thousand people. For comparison: 600 participants came to the previous similar forum in Murmansk.

The holding of the following international forum, "Smart City - Smart Country," in Ufa, was supported by the BRICS Business Council. At the forum, the participants discussed Smart City standards, the interaction between business and the state, and international experience in digitalization, Bashinform News Agency informed earlier.

As Bashinform News Agency reported, the IV International Forum "Smart City - Smart Country", dedicated to cities' development and digital transformation, opened in Ufa on July 26.

The Smart City - Smart Country Forum is the largest platform for professional dialogue, where best practices are exchanged, and new ideas in the field of urban development are created. The main goal is to ensure a direct dialogue between business and government.

The Ministry of Construction of Russia has implemented the Smart City project since 2018 as part of the national projects Housing and Urban Environment and Digital Economy.

Last year, an updated Smart City standard was approved, which made it possible to synchronize urban digitalization activities with the priority tasks of national projects. The revised standard includes 18 thematic blocks related to culture, education, and healthcare innovations. The Project Directorate of the Ministry of Construction of Russia supports implementing the Smart City project.
