380,000 tons of new crop grain have been harvested in Bashkiria, the press service of the region's Ministry of Agriculture told Bashinform News Agency.
In total, this year, the agrarians of the republic will have to harvest 2.185 million hectares of crops. To date, harvesting is underway in 46 districts. About 10 percent of the area has been mowed.
“Grain growers threshed more than 150,000 hectares of grain and leguminous crops. Gross grain threshing exceeded 380 thousand tons with an average yield of 25 centners per hectare. Among the best are the farms of Aurgazinsky, Sterlitamaksky, Karmaskalinsky, and Davlekanovsky districts, where from 27 to 53 thousand tons of grain have already been threshed,” the agricultural department stated.
While in Bashkiria, mainly winter crops are harvested, more than 40 percent of all areas have been mowed down.
At the same time, agrarians from 39 districts began harvesting spring grain crops. To date, 45,000 hectares have been mowed. Now peas and barley are mainly harvested. The yield of spring crops in the region exceeds 17 centners per hectare.
