As part of the "Southern Bypass of Ufa" project implementation in 2024-2027, the construction of a cable-stayed bridge across the Belaya River in the Kuznetsovsky Zaton with a length of 650 meters is planned.
As Bashinform News Agency learned, the facility's design has been completed, and documentation is being prepared for state expertise.
Now, about 90,000 cars cross the bridges near the Friendship Monument daily, which is half of the total inbound traffic to the republic's capital and comparable to the load on the Moscow Ring Road. During Friday trips and Sunday arrivals in the city, severe traffic jams constantly occur on the highway to the airport.
A new bridge should solve this problem. According to the project, it will have two traffic lanes in each direction and a cable-stayed structure, where one large supporting mast is used to ensure strength, connected to the bridge spans by steel supporting ropes. For docking with the airport highway, there will be an interchange at the Metro shopping complex, which will be reconstructed.
To ensure access to the bridge from Ufa, the reconstruction of Pugacheva Street and the construction of Rylenko Street are underway. At their intersection, a two-level interchange will appear.
The total cost of the South Gate project is estimated at 12 billion rubles.
