The Bank of Russia issued a commemorative silver coin depicting Viktor Tsoi. Information about this appeared today in the official Telegram channel of the regulator.

“We are putting into circulation a commemorative silver coin with a face value of 3 rubles, “The Creativity of Viktor Tsoi”. The founder and soloist of the Kino group, Viktor Tsoi, was an idol of his time, and his songs became a symbol of the perestroika era. Tsoi is also known for his work in cinema: in the film Assa, he played himself, and after the main role in the film The Needle, the Soviet Screen magazine recognized him as the actor of the year. The songs of Viktor Tsoi are still being listened to. More than one generation knows them,” the Central Bank of the Russian Federation posted.

A silver coin with a denomination of 3 rubles (the weight of the precious metal in purity is 31.1 g, and the fineness of the alloy is 925) has the shape of a circle with a diameter of 39.0 mm.

On the obverse and reverse sides of the coin, there is a protruding edging along the circumference.

On the front side of the coin is a relief image of the State Emblem of the Russian Federation. There are inscriptions: "RUSSIAN FEDERATION", "BANK OF RUSSIA", the face value of the coin: "3 RUBLES", date: "2023", metal designation according to the periodic system of elements of Mendeleev, alloy test, a trademark of the St. Petersburg Mint and a pure mass of precious metal.

On the reverse side of the coin, there is a relief image of a portrait of Viktor Tsoi with a microphone against the background of a guitar with symbolic flames made in the technique of laser matting; on the left, along the circumference - a relief inscription: "VIKTOR Tsoi", at the bottom in two lines - the dates of life: "1962" and "1990".

The circulation of the coin is 5.0 thousand pieces.
