At the X Russia and Belarus Regions Forum in Ufa, the government of Bashkiria and the open Joint-Stock Company Amkodor signed an agreement on cooperation to preserve and develop the scientific, technical, and industrial potential of Bashkiria and Belarus on a mutually beneficial basis. The signing occurred in the presence of the Chairman of the Federation Council, Valentina Matvienko, and the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, Natalia Kochanova. The press service of the government of Bashkiria reported this.
The agreement will contribute to intensifying relations between Bashkiria and the Republic of Belarus in the industrial sector. According to Andrey Nazarov, Prime Minister of Bashkiria, Amkodor is an essential partner for Bashkiria, and cooperation is underway on some projects. Thus, a plant to produce machines for post-harvest grain processing was constructed in the Ufimsky Industrial Park, as Bashinform News Agency previously reported. A scientific and technical center will be formed based on the plant. In addition, a production and service center for the maintenance of agricultural, municipal, and other equipment is being built in the Oktyabrsky district of Ufa.
In addition, cooperation with the Belarusian side is also developing in terms of equipment supply. So in 2022, the republic, as part of the renewal of the municipal equipment fleet, purchased 132 units of equipment manufactured in Belarus. In 2023, the renewal program continued. It is planned to buy equipment from Belarusian manufacturers.
