Foreign trade turnover of Bashkortostan and Kyrgyzstan increased by 38%

The foreign trade turnover of Bashkortostan and the Kyrgyz Republic in January-April this year increased by 38.6% compared to last year. This became known during the visit of a business delegation of Bashkortostan to Bishkek, organized as part of implementing the national project "International Cooperation and Export".

“Exports from Bashkortostan to Kyrgyzstan in January-April of this year increased by 36.8% compared to the same period in 2022. Compared to the same period last year, we maintained the level of deliveries of chemical products and increased the supply of metals, food products, and engineering products. Based on the results of the first four months of this year, Kyrgyzstan entered the Top 10 counterparty countries of Bashkortostan. For comparison, Kyrgyzstan was not included in this number for the same period last year,” commented the Republican Minister of Foreign Economic Relations and Congress Activities Margarita Bolycheva.

According to the press service of the regional Cabinet of Ministers, the delegation of the republic included the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Economic Relations and Congress Activities, Lena Izotova, the head of the Department of Exhibition and fair activities of the autonomous non-profit organization "Export Support Center of the Republic" Lilia Zulkarnaeva and representatives of companies from Bashkortostan.

The participants of the business trip held more than 50 meetings. On the part of the Kyrgyz partners, great interest was shown in the goods of Bashkir production. In addition to potential partners, the participants of the Republican delegation held meetings with official department representatives.
