Vladimir Poteshkin, Deputy Head of the Federal Air Transport Agency, and Hesham Abdelbasit, Head of the Main Directorate of Air Transport of the Civil Aviation Authority of Egypt, discussed the development of air transportation between the two countries. This was reported in the press service of the Federal Air Transport Agency.
The parties noted the high level of bilateral cooperation both at the level of aviation authorities and at the level of aviation enterprises. The parties’ positions on the interest in expanding flight programs between Russia and Egypt were confirmed.
Five Russian airlines operate flights from 13 cities in Russia to three points in Egypt: Azimuth, Aeroflot, Azur Air, Red Wings, and Rossiya. From the Egyptian side, three airlines Al Masria, Egypt Air, and Red Sea Airlines, fly to Moscow, St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Samara, and Ufa.
Vladimir Poteshkin suggested to the Egyptian colleagues that they consider expanding the geography of flights to Russian cities to create additional opportunities for developing and expanding tourism programs between the two countries.
Meanwhile, since May 27, there have been more flights from Ufa to Hurghada, Bashinform News Agency informed earlier.
