Additional flights from Ufa to Minsk were discussed at SPIEF-2023

At the XXVI St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, the Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, met with First Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Nikolai Snopkov. On the agenda is strengthening international cooperation, including implementing joint economic and social projects.

“We are meeting on the eve of a big event – the X Forum of the Regions of Russia and Belarus. I am sure it will give a new impetus to developing our relations. We have seriously increased our trade turnover in the past two years and built tourist and cultural ties. In this regard," a second flight from Ufa to Minsk is needed,” said Radiy Khabirov.

The Head of the Region outlined the key areas of joint work.

“We are proud of new large-scale projects with the Amkodor machine-building holding. We will soon launch the first plant to produce agricultural equipment in Bashkortostan. There are plans for cooperation in the light industry. Another area of cooperation is the Bashkir-Belarusian Longevity program, which we launched this year. It has proved its importance for the region’s inhabitants quickly. In general, our task is to achieve deep integration in various industries and areas”, - said Radiy Khabirov.

First Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Nikolai Snopkov emphasized the strategic importance of joint projects.

“I thank the management team of Bashkortostan for their active position and real steps in strengthening cooperation with Belarus. The wonderful stand you organized at this forum also demonstrates the region's attractiveness. Combining our business with modern conditions is the basis for the future development of Russian-Belarusian relations. And, of course, Bashkortostan is a real natural pearl of Russia, with developed tourist infrastructure and a network of sanatoriums,” he said.

Nikolai Snopkov also expressed interest in launching a second flight from Ufa to Minsk in a week.
