Bashkiria plans to sign agreements in oil refining and gas motor fuel at SPIEF

The Republic of Bashkortostan plans to conclude several investment contracts in industrial production within the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) framework. The press service of the government of Bashkiria reported this.

According to Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Industry, Energy and Innovation of Bashkiria Alexander Sheldyaev, it is planned to sign three agreements with an investment of more than 12 billion rubles. They will accelerate the development of the economic and industrial spheres of the republic, create new jobs and improve the region’s ecology.

The first project is the reconstruction of the L-35/11-1000 gasoline catalytic reformer with a twofold increase in feedstock capacity at Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat LLC. The investor plans to invest 8.9 billion rubles in the project. The implementation period is until 2026. The second project is constructing a plant to produce liquefied natural gas near the Salavat-4 GDS with a capacity of 3 tons per hour. The investor, OOO Gazprom LNG Technologies, will invest 1.6 billion rubles in the project. The start of new production is scheduled for 2024. The third project is the reclamation of lands subject to technogenic pollution during the operation of an enterprise for the extraction and enrichment of ores in Sibay. The investor will invest 1.6 billion rubles. The project is scheduled to be completed by 2026.

The result of the SPIEF for Bashkiria in 2022 was three signed investment agreements for almost 18 billion rubles, giving the republic more than a thousand new jobs. In July, Bashinform News Agency reported that a program to protect and encourage investments would be launched in Bashkiria.
