Economically active population has increased in Bashkiria
According to a sample survey, the labor force aged 15 and over in January-March 2023 in Bashkiria amounted to about 1.958 million people against 1.918 million people at the end of 2022. Bashkir Statistical Agency provides such data.
Of these, 1.910 million people, or 97.6%, were classified as employed in economic activities and about 48 thousand people (2.4%) as unemployed, meeting the criteria of the International Labor Organization. That is, they did not have a job or a profitable occupation. They were looking for work and ready to start in the surveyed week.
According to the latest data, the economically active population in Russia is 75.751 million people in the Volga Federal District - 14.614 million people.
Bashinform News Agency reported that the average monthly nominal accrued salary in Bashkiria in 2023 exceeded 53,658 rubles. In general, for the first quarter of this year, it amounted to 50,894 rubles.
