The Russian government discussed the issue of developing the marketing of agricultural and food products produced by small and medium-sized businesses in the agro-industrial complex.
As was emphasized at the meeting, the primary mechanism for collecting, storing, transporting, and selling products from small farms is agricultural consumer cooperation, which actively uses grant support to develop the material base.
In 2020–2022 alone, more than 149 cooperatives benefited from grants of 1.9 billion rubles.
“Cooperatives are also provided with targeted subsidies for purchasing property, agricultural machinery, and products from cooperative members. Over the past two years, almost 1.5 thousand applications for 23.8 billion rubles have been subsidized,” Deputy Prime Minister Victoria Abramchenko said.
As Bashinform News Agency previously reported regarding the republican government, agricultural consumer cooperatives of Bashkiria received over 2.8 billion rubles in income in 2022. This is 26% more than in 2021.
More than 400 cooperatives operate in the region today, with 8.7 thousand shareholders, which is 1.2 thousand more than a year earlier.
Agricultural cooperation in the region is developing dynamically, thanks to state support measures. So, in 2022, 15.6 million rubles were allocated to create the material and technical base of three agricultural cooperatives in Bashkiria.
More significant support for regional cooperatives was allocated within the framework of the national SME project. 69 agricultural cooperatives received subsidies for creating a development system. The volume of state support amounted to 173 million rubles. The amount will increase to 212 million rubles in 2023.
