At the operational meeting of the government of Bashkiria, Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Industry, Energy, and Innovation Alexander Sheldyaev spoke about the results of the visit of the official delegation of Bashkiria to Iran on May 16-21.
Iran is one of the priority foreign economic directions for Bashkiria. The positive dynamics of Bashkir-Iranian relations are confirmed by the growth of foreign trade turnover in the first quarter of 2023 by 14 times compared to the same period last year (17.2 million US dollars at the end of 2022 - 93.2 million dollars).
9 companies were presented at the collective stand of the Republic of Bashkortostan. During their stay in Iran, representatives of Bashkiria held about 1,000 negotiations here, on which agreements were signed. The preliminary volume of investments for the project may be about 1.5 billion rubles. Such production is planned to be located in the Alga SEZ. The Sterlitamak petrochemical plant has agreed with the Eastern Greenfield Company to resume purchasing goods and supplying products to manufacturers of motor oils and lubricants. Representatives of the Packer Company discussed with potential partners the equipment in demand in Iran and agreed to continue cooperation.
