ANK Bashneft replaced the supply of critical spare parts for the Ufa oil refinery by 28% in 2022-2023. Bashneft presented the applied import substitution technologies at the “Gas. Oil. Technologies-2023” in Ufa.
Addressing the forum participants, in his welcoming speech, the Head of the Republic Radiy Khabirov noted that despite the sanctions restrictions, the petrochemical industry "has passed a variety of tests, but always moves forward":
“We are holding this exhibition at a challenging time for the petrochemical industry. Because it was she who turned out to be and was subject to the blow of the most severe sanctions, but even this exhibition, these objects presented here, show that the industry is moving and developing. She withstands the blows and shows new innovative, deeply scientific methods and products. Let me again wish everyone good, fruitful work,” said Radiy Khabirov.
Bashneft is actively implementing an import substitution program, including supplying oil refineries with spare parts. The innovative approach of 3D scanning makes it possible to create a high-precision digital 3D model based on which Russian enterprises produce spare parts equal to foreign parts in terms of quality.
According to the company, over 700 types of unique parts for dynamic equipment, previously produced by 43 foreign suppliers, have been replaced.
“Bashneft specialists ensured the replacement of imported spare parts with Russian counterparts by almost a third for the needs of the Ufa oil refinery complex. They are not inferior in terms of technical characteristics and quality to imported parts,” Bashneft noted.
To solve this problem, in addition to traditional methods, a high-tech approach of 3D scanning using domestic equipment is used. The technique makes it possible to create a high-precision digital 3D model based on which Russian enterprises manufacture analog spare parts.
At the same time, a pilot project of ANK Bashneft and the RN-BashNIPIneft Institute for 3D scanning and 3D printing of polymer parts is being implemented. In the first stage, spare parts for non-critical applications will be produced. It is planned to move on to printing more complex spare parts.
The starting demand of the Ufa oil refining complex for polymer parts is up to 500 items per year. In the future, this volume can be significantly expanded.
