Bashkiria is waiting for Russian government’s decision on Alga SEZ expansion

“Residents of the SEZ Alga on an industrial scale are small enterprises. The total investment in their development seems to be 500 million rubles. But just a few kilometers from this site, our industrial giants are implementing investment projects worth tens of billions of rubles in the petrochemical sector,” said the Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov during a press approach after the opening of the ZASPORT factory.

“At the same time, the light industry is a very complex area of production and business. A light industrial cluster is being formed here. We will monitor its development and may provide additional measures to support it. In general, few vacant land plots are left at the Alga sites. Therefore, we are planning to expand the territory of the special economic zone and are waiting for the relevant decision of the Russian Government. We have selected a site in the Ufa region. This will help attract new investments,” said Radiy Khabirov, answering a question from the Bashinform News Agency.
