Bashkiria and Kazakhstan increased foreign trade turnover by almost 10%

The foreign trade turnover between Bashkiria and Kazakhstan increased by 9.9% last year compared to 2021. These data were shared by the press service of the republic’s government.

“According to last year’s results, exports from Bashkortostan to Kazakhstan increased by 3.7% compared to 2021. The basis of exports was the products of the chemical industry, metals, wood, and food products. Cooperation in the oil and gas industry has huge potential. We have all the resources to innovate and share experiences. We hope that our cooperation will be fruitful and productive,” said Rustam Muratov, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of Bashkortostan, Head of the Ministry of Economic Development of the region, at the IV International Exhibition of Mechanical Engineering and Metalworking Kazakhstan Machinery Fair 2023.

The plans include the participation of manufacturers from the republic in the Eurasia cross-border trade center, the launch of which is expected in the third quarter of 2025. In addition, Bashkiria is ready to supply Kazakhstan with broiler and waterfowl eggs, sugar, oil and fat products, and other grain and breeding products.

In addition, a business mission of representatives of the republic to the country will take place in October and November of this year. The issue of allocating space on the shelves of retail chains for products labeled "Made in Bashkortostan" in Kazakhstan, and vice versa, is being worked out.
