Named one of reasons why negative forecasts for Russian economy did not come true

Alexey Khersontsev, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, speaking during the business breakfast of the Association of Russian Lawyers "Priority of Law", held as part of the XI St. Petersburg International Legal Forum, noted why the gloomy forecasts in the economy that were made to Russia did not come true.

“This is not only merit of the industry, but also of lawyers. There has been unprecedented work by legislators and the executive branch in developing many laws and by-laws immediately after February 2022. The first package was adopted in March, a great merit of deputies, senators, and the government. Normative legal acts were introduced literally within three days. And this allowed many things to be solved very quickly. The speed of decision-making is a sign of the past year,” he said.

According to Aleksey Khersontsev, today, the digitalization of the economy poses new challenges for the legal community, transforming various areas of activity, including the legal profession.
