Agrarians of Bashkiria carried out spring sowing on 23% of planned areas

Agrarians of Bashkortostan carried out spring sowing on 475,000 hectares, which is 23 percent of the planned. Since yesterday, more than 100,000 hectares have been planted daily. Ilshat Fazrakhmanov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Belarus, Minister of Agriculture, told journalists about this during a press tour. Representatives of the Republican media visited agricultural enterprises and farms of the Republic's Karmaskalinsky, Aurgazinsky, Davlekanovsky, and Buzdyaksky regions.

The agricultural enterprise "Artemida" in the Karmaskalinsky district is among the leaders in introducing advanced technologies. Here, journalists were shown a warehouse for grain storage with a capacity of 3.5 thousand tons, built in a month from metal structures. As Yevgeny Pozhidaev, head of the enterprise, noted, the farm is building another warehouse, already with a tent cover and for 4.5 thousand tons of storage.

“This is how our leading agricultural enterprises reacted to last year's record harvest when many farmers lacked grain storage capacity, and selling prices also fell. At the beginning of the season, the carry-over stock of grain in the region is 1.5 million tons. Solid granaries will help agricultural producers save grain to favorable prices,” said Ilshat Fazrakhmanov.
