Increase in demand for electricity is predicted in Bashkiria

By 2028, the energy system of the Republic of Bashkortostan is projected to increase the consumption of electrical energy to 29,763 million kWh with an average annual growth rate of 1.69%, as well as an increase in the maximum consumption of electrical power to 4,426 MW with an average annual growth rate of 1.03%.

“The Republican energy system is one of the backbones in the country,” said the Deputy Prime Minister of the Government, Minister of Industry, Energy and Innovation Alexander Sheldyaev. — It provides an uninterrupted and reliable power supply to the Ural and Volga regions. Transiting electrical energy between the European and Siberian parts of the country is essential. Our power engineers are actively developing and carrying out a large-scale modernization of the energy complex. They are implementing landmark projects in the Blagoveshchensk energy hub and the Trans-Urals. Intensive work is also underway at the generating facilities of the republic's thermal power plants. We see this today in the example of the most important facilities ready for launch. Within the framework of the federal program, six large power plants in the region will be modernized in the next 10 years. The first facility after modernization, the power unit of the Karmanovskaya GRES, was launched in December 2022.”

As Bashinform News Agency learned, from 2023 to 2028, it is planned to implement projects in the energy system of the republic related to the commissioning of turbine generator No. 1 of the Novo-Salavatskaya CHPP with a capacity of 50 MW in 2024, as well as an increase in power as part of the modernization program for thermal generation facilities.
