

The former Prime Minister of the Government of Bashkiria, Rustem Mardanov, who now heads the Ural Main Branch of the Bank of Russia, has been appointed Head of the Bank of Russia Main Branch for the Central Federal District from May 1, 2023. This was reported in the press service of the Central Bank.
The former head member of the Board of Directors, Nadezhda Ivanova, will leave her post on April 16, 2023, due to her retirement.
As Bashinform News Agency reported, Rustem Mardanov graduated from the Ufa Aviation Institute. In 1994, he began working at the National Bank of the Republic.
He worked in the region’s government as the First Deputy Minister of Economy and Antimonopoly Policy from 1998-2000.
In 2000 he returned to the National Bank, heading it two years later. In 2013, Rustem Mardanov was appointed First Deputy Prime Minister; in 2015, he took the post of Prime Minister of the Government of Bashkiria. At the end of 2018, he resigned in connection with the transition to work in the system of the Bank of Russia.
He was awarded the Order of Salavat Yulaev for good and impartial work.
