5 schools will be renovated this year as part of presidential overhaul program in Ufa

Within the framework of the presidential program for overhauling schools in Ufa and the Ufimsky district, 5 school buildings will be renovated this year. Ilshat Tazhitdinov, Deputy Prime Minister of the government, got acquainted with the progress of work on overhauling educational institutions.

The first object of monitoring was the Ufa boarding school No. 13. 83.9 million rubles were allocated for the overhaul of this school, of which 70 million rubles came from the federal budget. Work at the facility is proceeding according to the schedule, and it is planned to hand over to the facility in August. The necessary materials and equipment are being purchased to equip the facility. The renovated school building will have new classroom furniture, a library, a center for children's initiatives, a sleeping block, and Internet equipment.

The Deputy Prime Minister also visited the Republican Engineering Lyceum boarding school, where two buildings are being renovated. The cost of repairs is estimated at almost 227 million rubles, including subsidies from the federal budget of 190.6 million rubles.

“This facility is our leader in the republic in terms of funding. Large-scale work is to be done here: it is planned to equip the engineering lyceum with modern laboratory equipment, digital technology, and student furniture. We keep all processes under control. After the repair, the facility must be put into operation within the terms established by the contract,” Ilshat Tazhitdinov noted.

In the Ufimsky district, schools are being overhauled in Oktyabrsky, Milovka, and Mikhailovka. Contractors have started work at all facilities: dismantling old structures is being completed, and the walls are being prepared for finishing work.

As Bashinform News Agency was informed in the regional government’s press service, following the results of field meetings, instructions were given to ensure compliance with work schedules, timely conclusion, and execution of contracts for equipping facilities with new and modern equipment.
