The Federal Tax Service of Russia has optimized the mechanism for working with the Unified Tax Account and the Unified Tax Payment. The deadline for submitting claims for payment and making decisions on the collection of tax debts has been legally extended by 6 months. If necessary, this measure will allow taxpayers to reconcile the balance on the UTA with the tax authorities individually.

“Currently, before sending requirements to users of the interactive services “Personal Account of an Individual Entrepreneur” and “Personal Account of a Taxpayer of a Legal Entity” on the website of the Federal Tax Service of Russia, as well as to those taxpayers who interact with tax authorities via telecommunication channels, if there are debts, certificates are sent through the UNS with a breakdown of the total amount of debt by type of taxes and the timing of their payment.

In case of disagreement with the balance on the UTA, we recommend that you contact the tax authority personally to reconcile the calculations or send an e-mail using the service “Operative assistance: unblocking the account and questions on the UTA” of the website of the Federal Tax Service of Russia,” the Federal Tax Service of Bashkiria informed.

Taxpayers with debts will receive requests for voluntary repayment of debts in April. At the same time, the deadline for fulfilling this obligation to the budget has been increased from the usual 8 days to 1 month.

In addition, from January 1 to June 30, 2023, in cases where the taxpayer made mistakes when generating notifications of calculated tax amounts or did not send them, no penalties and fines will be charged.
