State Duma will consider bill to increase tax deductions

This applies to social deductions for citizens' expenses for education, treatment, medicines, and stimulating high-tech equipment production.

According to the press service of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, the draft law has been prepared to implement the provisions of the presidential address to the Federal Assembly. The document proposes to amend articles 219 and 257 of the second part of the Tax Code.

It is proposed to raise the maximum amount of the tax deduction for the costs of educating a child by more than two times. Today, the deduction limit is allowed from 50 thousand rubles. The deputies proposed to increase it to 110 thousand rubles.

It is also proposed to increase the size of the tax deduction for the cost of their education, treatment, including family members, and the purchase of medicines. Here, the maximum amount of expenses from which it will be possible to receive a tax deduction will increase from 120 thousand to 150 thousand rubles.

To stimulate production and demand for domestic high-tech equipment, it is proposed to apply a multiplying factor of 1.5 to the costs of acquiring such funds, similar to the procedure for accounting for the costs of developing or creating advanced Russian products in the field of artificial intelligence.
