Energy sector investments grew by 12% in Bashkiria in 2022

Business investments in the power grid complex exceeded 7 billion rubles in Bashkiria in 2022, 12% more than in 2021, the government of Bashkiria reported.

Within the framework of the federal program, six large power plants in the region will be modernized in the next 10 years. As Bashinform News Agency reported, the first facility after modernization, the power unit of the Karmanovskaya GRES, was launched in December 2022.

Last year, another 50 MW of renewable generation (from natural sources) was introduced in the region. “Thus, we have fully complied with the landmark of the 310th decree of the Head of the Republic,” said Prime Minister Andrey Nazarov.

Now there are 7 solar power stations in Bashkiria. The plant in Agidel was launched in October 2022 and is 70% built using Russian equipment. It is planned to commission the same station in the Baimaksky district in 2024.

Construction of a new 500-kilovolt substation in Sibay will begin in the fourth quarter of this year. The total investments for constructing the station and four outlet centers will amount to more than 10 billion rubles. Completion is planned for 2026.

“This will not only increase the energy supply of the Trans-Urals but also significantly increase the investment attractiveness of this region,” Andrey Nazarov commented.
