Authorities of Bashkiria attracted 98 billion rubles from federal budget in 2022

The authorities of Bashkiria attracted 98 billion rubles of federal funds in 2022, Prime Minister Andrey Nazarov said during a report to the Republican State Assembly - the Kurultai.

“Timely decisions in the field of tax policy and the search for additional sources of income made it possible to contain possible negative trends in the social sphere. The Republic has fully fulfilled all its obligations,” he stressed.

According to the Ministry of Finance, Bashkiria transferred 586 billion rubles to the federal budget. The region's consolidated budget revenues amounted to almost 330 billion rubles, including subsidies from the national treasury.

“It is essential that we have built a systematic work to increase our revenue base and attract federal resources for development.

Tax and non-tax revenues have increased from 187.8 to 231 billion rubles since 2019. 70% of our budget is formed from our payments.

At the same time, we were able to double the amount of federal financial support. Last year alone, 98 billion rubles were attracted,” the Prime Minister recalled.

Of these, 39 billion rubles are accounted for by implementing national projects. This is the highest amount since their inception. The total funding of federal programs, including republican funds, amounted to 49.7 billion rubles.

The expenses of the consolidated budget of the republic for 2022 amounted to 343 billion rubles, of which 244 billion rubles were allocated for social obligations.

“Last year’s results are worthy of a good assessment because the government's work is consistent. Consistency manifested itself literally from the first days of the work of this government, “Investment Hours” sessions and other specialized meetings were launched. The work of clusters was intensified, where new enterprises were opened, including this rather well-developed SEZ Alga. All these projects were calculated for investors and federal funds,” says Rustem Kamalov, an economist and lecturer at the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation.

“Also, in the last four years, we have seen work intensification on national projects. This is a severe tool to the original development. We participate in the vast majority of federal programs, which means that the region receives funds. This requires much organizational work. Success in this work is correlated with success in terms of investment.

Given the current situation in the economy, a pessimistic scenario was quite possible, but this did not happen. We hold on to the market infrastructure, which just now has shown its viability, due to state support and a built-in management system,” the expert commented.
