Bashkortostan continues to work on mutual attraction of investments with Belarus. The Development Corporation of the Republic of Bashkortostan and the administration of the free economic zone Grodnoinvest will assist in this direction. The parties confirmed their intentions with a cooperation agreement, which was signed during a workshop held by the regional government.
The day before, based on the Development Corporation, representatives of the Grodno Regional Executive Committee and Grodnoinvest met with the management of the management company of the Alga Special Economic Zone, the Industrial Development Fund, and the Regional Leasing Company. During the meeting, the guests were told about the experience of managing the preferential zones of Bashkortostan and the current state support measures.
“We are systematically strengthening partnerships with our Belarusian colleagues. Today we are faced with developing foreign economic relations between the business community of Bashkortostan and the Grodno region. Thus, the signed agreement will promote initiatives in investment circles and increase mutual investment in the regions,” said Nail Gabbasov, Director General of the Republican Development Corporation.
As Ruslan Kizelevich, deputy head of the administration of the free economic zone Grodnoinvest, noted, partnership with Bashkortostan is possible in various directions. The most promising may be joint projects in woodworking, chemical production, and mechanical engineering.
The Free Economic Zone "Grodnoinvest" is a territory of the Grodno region with more than four thousand hectares, with a particular legal regime for residents.
