Readiness for the sowing campaign in Bashkortostan is at a high level. The farms of the republic are fully provided with their seeds of grain, leguminous, and cereal crops for spring sowing. This was said at the district meeting on the development of the agro-industrial complex in the regions of the Volga Federal District and preparations for the upcoming sowing campaign.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture of Bashkortostan, the sown area will be 2 million 894.4 thousand hectares in 2023, with an increase of 3.2 thousand hectares compared to 2022.

The area of spring sowing will be 2.17 million hectares, of which 1.75 million are cereals and leguminous crops and 479 thousand hectares of industrial crops.

Since November 1, 2022, 234.2 tons of plant protection products have been purchased across the republic.

The farms of the republic are fully provided with their seeds of grain, leguminous, and cereal crops for spring sowing in 2023 in the amount of 285 thousand tons.

About 11,000 tractor units for soil preparation and 5,200 for sowing crops will participate in the spring fieldwork. More than 12 thousand tractors will be involved.

In January-February of the current year, the agrarians of the republic purchased 380 units of equipment for the amount of 1.3 billion rubles, which is 500 million more than in the same period last year.

The total need for financing seasonal field work for 2023 is estimated at 22.6 billion rubles, 2.2 billion rubles (or 10.7%) more than in 2022.
