Radiy Khabirov outlined Bashkortostan agro-industrial policy priorities

Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov and Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Russia Andrey Razin held a meeting on developing the agro-industrial complex in the regions of the Volga Federal District and preparations for the upcoming sowing campaign. It was attended by heads of regional sectoral ministries and departments and large enterprises of the agro-industrial complex.

The Head of the region, in his speech, expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia for effective programs to support the industry and promote republican initiatives.

The Head of the republic outlined the critical directions of the agro-industrial policy to increase the productivity of agriculture.

“One of the priorities of our work is the industry’s technological development. We continue to update the fleet of agricultural machinery actively. We are developing agricultural engineering. Some novelties have already been presented at the Agrocomplex specialized exhibition, which we visited today,” said Radiy Khabirov.

The Head of Bashkortostan paid particular attention to the modernization of the food and processing industry. Recall that on behalf of Radiy Khabirov, the republic adopted an appropriate state program.

“Regarding food production, we rank fifth in the Volga Federal District. Therefore, we set the task of developing this direction, - Radiy Khabirov explained. “We need to actively introduce new technologies for processing agricultural products.”

Another direction is the development of the export potential of the agro-industrial complex. In particular, during a visit to Iran, the delegation of Bashkortostan discussed possible supplies of products with the Minister of Agriculture Javad Sadati-Nejad.

At the end of his speech, the Head of the region wished the meeting participants a productive dialogue and agrarians of the Volga Federal District - a successful sowing campaign.

Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Russia Andrey Razin thanked the republic’s leadership for organizing the meeting. He noted that Bashkortostan had developed many industry solutions and practices that need to be replicated in other regions.

The participants discussed the results of the development of the agro-industrial complex in 2022, the preparation of the regions of the Volga Federal District for spring fieldwork, and the provision of farmers with equipment, fuels and lubricants, seeds, and fertilizers for the sowing campaign.
