Bashkir plant will produce sports and rehabilitation equipment

Beloretsk "Ural Sports Equipment Plant" is preparing to launch in the first half of 2023 the production of precision casting of steel and iron, in which 110 million rubles have been invested. The plant plans to produce sports and rehabilitation equipment for physical therapy and people with disabilities, the Republican Ministry of Industry reported.

Own foundry production will allow satisfying the growing demand for domestic sports equipment against the backdrop of Western sanctions, the department notes.

The investor will receive support under the new republican program for manufacturers of technical means of rehabilitation, which subsidizes up to 50% of the cost of purchasing equipment. 20 million rubles have been reserved in the republican budget to implement this measure.

“With the departure of foreign companies, we see demand. In 2022, they even had to build new production sites and launch a new workshop. Last year, we mastered the production of fiberglass panels for hockey rinks. Opened in 2021, the production of children's play equipment is loaded with orders. The country today needs skateparks, hockey rinks, and professional exercise equipment. We plan to offer products that comply with the orders of the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation,” said Azat Vildanov, General Director of the company.
