Prime Minister of Bashkortostan Andrey Nazarov spoke at the plenary session of the Agro-Industrial Forum, which opened in Ufa.
Today, the share of the rural population of the republic exceeds 38%. It is more than 1.5 million people, the head of the regional cabinet noted. Therefore, the sustainable development of rural areas is essential for the socioeconomic well-being of the region.
“Last year, the farmers of Bashkiria produced products worth 247 billion rubles with an increase of 28%. Capital investments in the industry exceeded 17 billion rubles, and the growth rate here was 21%. Since 2017, agro-industrial exports have increased eightfold (from $37 million to almost $300 million). There are five times more exporters. The structure of exports has changed significantly. If we supplied raw materials earlier, we mainly supplied processed products,” the Prime Minister stressed.
The Head of Bashkortostan set the task of effectively using each hectare of agricultural land. This year we are actively conducting their inventory. In the future, only conscientious producers should dispose of farmland.
Another crucial area of activity of the agro-industrial complex, to which the prime minister drew attention, is the issue of personnel. The republic has been actively dealing with this problem for three years. 70 agricultural classes and 12 production sites for training have already been created in rural schools of the republic.
They have launched programs to support young professionals. Thanks to measures to reduce tension in the labor market, more than 2.3 thousand people have been employed at the enterprises of the agro-industrial complex. 660 people were able to receive additional professional education.
At the same time, it is essential to continue improving rural areas’ comfort for people's lives, Andrey Nazarov said. For example, he cited the program "Integrated Development of Rural Territories", thanks to which more than 500 families of the republic improved their living conditions. The Rural Mortgage program was a good help - over the past year, more than 790 preferential loans worth more than 2 billion rubles were issued in the republic. Medical care is improving: 258 feldsher-obstetric stations and outpatient medical clinics have been put into operation. Other programs are being implemented to improve life in the countryside.
