Passenger traffic on the railway is growing in Bashkiria
More than 1.1 million passengers were transported on the Kuibyshev Railway in February 2023, which is 18.8% higher than last year, of which 863 thousand passengers (+12.6%) were in suburban traffic, in long-distance routes 302.2 thousand passengers (+40.8%).
Passenger turnover on the Kuibyshev Railway in February 2023 amounted to 295.7 million passenger-kilometers, 38.6% more than in the same period last year. In suburban traffic, passenger turnover increased by 25.2%, amounting to 43.2 million passenger-kilometers, and in long-distance routes - 252.5 million passenger-kilometers, 41.2% higher than last year.
In total, over 2.4 million passengers (+11.6%) were sent in January-February 2023, of which 693 thousand passengers (+22.9%) were on long-distance routes, 1.7 million were in suburban traffic (+ 7.7%).
Passenger turnover on the Kuibyshev Railway since the beginning of 2023 increased by 24.2% year-on-year and amounted to 682.4 million passenger-kilometers, including 89.4 million passenger-kilometers in suburban traffic (+16.3%), in long-distance routes – 593 million passenger-kilometers (+25.5%).
