Inflation in Bashkiria in January amounted to 0.7% compared to December

The growth of consumer prices for goods and services in Bashkiria in January amounted to 0.7% compared to December in the Russian Federation - 0.8%, according to Bashkir Statistical Agency.

Food:

- pasteurized milk - + 1.9% per month, cottage cheese - + 1.4%, sour cream - + 0.4%,

- bread and bakery products - -0.3%, pasta, and cereals - -2.6% (and buckwheat fell in price even by 7%),

- eggs - -0.9%, sugar - -2.7%,

- fish - up to + 3.6%, boiled sausages and sausages - +5,

- potatoes - + 11.6%, borscht set - up to + 26%,

— fruits went up to +12.6%, except for oranges, which finally fell in price (-3.6%),

— leaders in seasonal price fluctuations — cucumbers (+40%) and tomatoes (+32%).

In the non-food sector, the price increase for gold jewelry made of gold amounted to 3.5%. Price indices for clothing, knitwear, and footwear ranged from -7.5% (women's winter boots) to +3.7% (women's trousers), electrical goods and household appliances - from -2.2% (washing machine) to +2 .4% (mixer, blender), building materials - from -4.8% (particle boards) to + 2.3% (oil paints), detergents, cleaning products, perfumes and cosmetics and haberdashery - from -5.6 % (liquid toilet soap) to +2.7% (shower gel).

Tobacco products became more expensive by 1.3%, smartphones, wireless headphones, smartwatches, and TVs by 0.6-3%, sanitary masks, blood pressure monitors, and electronic thermometers by 1.6-2.2%, and flowers — by 6.9%.

For medicines related to vital and essential drugs (VED), prices increased by an average of 1.8%, and medications not included in the VED list - increased by 2.2%.
