Vladimir Putin announced a separate national project to develop unmanned aerial vehicles. The Republican Minister of Industry and Innovation, Alexander Sheldyaev, spoke about this on social media.
In each region of Russia, a research and production center for unmanned aircraft will be created, and infrastructure will be built for the widespread use of drones. “In Bashkiria, we and the Center for Strategic Initiatives of the Republic have been doing this work for a long time. We need to accelerate, and we have something to do with it, " said the Ministry of Industry head.
Ufa Integrated Robotic Technologies LLC manufactures unmanned aerial vehicles and develops software for processing air monitoring data.
Geoscan-Ufa is implementing a project to create a radio-electronic technopark, "RV-1", which will also include the development and production of UAVs.
JSC "KumAPP" is implementing a project to create an unmanned aerial system of the helicopter type BAS-200. The Ministry of Industry supports all these projects.
“The parameters of the state civil order in terms of the needs of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation in unmanned aerial systems were discussed today at the videoconferencing conference with the participation of Dmitry Peskov, special representative of the President of the Russian Federation for digital and technological development, Anton Podkuiko, deputy director of the Agency for Technological Development, representatives of the State Transport Leasing Company and colleagues from regional ministries.
One of the theses is that all 89 regions of the Russian Federation should generate demand as soon as possible and calculate how many and what kind of drones need to be produced.
The development of unmanned aircraft on such a scale is not just new production facilities but entire factories and testing centers. These are transport aviation, giant plane, and maneuverable micro-UAVs. For the industry, this is another challenge and a point of growth,” Alexander Sheldyaev commented.
