Russian Government allocated 30 billion rubles for M-12 highway construction

30 billion rubles have been allocated from the Cabinet of Ministers' reserve fund to create the M-12 federal highway. Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed the order.

The allocation of additional funds will make it possible to ensure the advanced construction of this federal road, the press service of the Russian government explained. Thanks to this decision, a road section in the Moscow Region with a length of 42.5 kilometers will be put into operation ahead of schedule.

The creation of the M-12 highway Moscow - Nizhny Novgorod - Kazan is part of the federal project "Construction of highways of the international transport corridor Europe - Western China".

“It will provide high-speed auto communication between the Moscow, Vladimir, Nizhny Novgorod, Sverdlovsk regions, Tatarstan, Bashkortostan, and Chuvashia, thereby giving the economy of these regions an additional impetus to development. M-12 will become part of the promising Rossiya route, will help expand trade channels with Asian countries, and increase the reliability and speed of deliveries of goods,” the Russian government said in a statement.

As Bashinform News Agency reported, an additional 19 billion rubles will be invested to develop federal highways in Bashkiria.
