22 tons of Bashkir buckwheat were shipped for export to Germany, the regional Rosselkhoznadzor department reported.
It was grown in the fields of the Gafuryisky region of the republic.
“According to the results of the examinations, no quarantine organisms were found in the studied buckwheat samples. The products comply with the quarantine phytosanitary requirements of the importing country. The department issued a phytosanitary certificate. A batch of buckwheat has been shipped to a foreign counterparty,” the press service of the supervisory agency added.
As Bashinform News Agency reported, Bashkir agro-industrial enterprises exported 400,000 tons of various products in 2022. The export volume, in monetary terms, amounted to $291 million in 2021.
In the structure of exports of the agro-industrial complex, a large part, or 66.4 percent, is occupied by products of the oil and fat industry. The rest share in the structure of exports falls on seeds, spirits, honey, cereals, meat, and dairy products.
