Bashkiria exported 400 thousand tons of agricultural products in 2022

Bashkir enterprises of the agro-industrial complex exported 400 thousand tons of products last year, the regional Ministry of Agriculture press service reported.

“The volume of exports in monetary terms amounted to $291 million, which is at the level of 2021,” the ministry noted.

In the structure of exports of the agro-industrial complex, the bulk of the volume, or 66.4 percent, is occupied by products of the oil and fat industry. The rest share in the structure of exports falls on oilseeds, spirits, honey, cereals, meat, and dairy products.

The agricultural products of Bashkiria were exported to Iran, Turkey, Kazakhstan, China, Uzbekistan, Belarus, and some other countries in 2022.

“Several enterprises of the agro-industrial complex of the republic today are expanding the volume of exports and the geography of counterparty countries. Thus, an Indian delegation visited the Chishminsky Oil Extraction Plant. Representatives of Indian companies get acquainted with the work of the enterprise and considered the possibility of importing oil and fat products,” said the Ministry of Agriculture of Bashkiria, recalling that within the framework of the national project “International Cooperation and Export” in Bashkiria, a regional project “Export of agricultural products” is being implemented.

As Bashinform News Agency previously reported regarding the Prime Minister of the Government of Bashkiria, Andrey Nazarov, 15 instruments of the Regional Export Standard have been introduced in the republic.

“Now the republic maintains trade with 113 countries. Export accounts for more than 80% of trade turnover. The expected annual volume of non-commodity non-energy exports should increase by 25% from the figure for 2021. This is about 70% of the total export volume. That is, the task set by the country's leadership to double the volume of exports of non-commodity non-energy goods by 2024 is generally being fulfilled,” Andrey Nazarov said at a meeting on the implementation of the national project “International Cooperation and Export”, which was held by the First Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Andrey Belousov.

Recall that the national project "International Cooperation and Export" was developed on behalf of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
