The experience of Bashkiria in implementing measures of the regional export standard 2.0 and creating its tools was considered at a meeting of the Russian government dedicated to increasing the country's non-resource non-energy exports.
Prime Minister of the Republic Andrey Nazarov spoke about the formation of a network of representatives of the region abroad to ensure a presence in foreign markets.
“They carry out their activities as part of the Russian trade missions. They work in Belarus, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and China. Their main task is to increase exports and attract foreign direct investment. As a result of the activities of representatives, we are implementing joint projects with foreign investors for almost 9.5 billion rubles,” said Andrey Nazarov.
According to Andrey Belousov, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, increasing non-commodity non-energy exports, which was previously formulated as one of the national goals, has acquired special significance today. The active participation of the country’s subjects is of particular importance here.
“It's no secret that until recently, the policy to support non-commodity non-energy exports was built mainly with the largest companies and corporations that formed the backbone of Russia's export potential. However, today it is impossible to solve the problem of turning our export potential to the East, South-East, and South without involving large and medium-sized companies and small businesses. To use this hitherto limited potential, it is critically important that the constituent entities of the Russian Federation and the governor corps participate actively in this process,” he stressed.
Earlier, Bashinform News Agency reported that Bashkiria approved a regional export development program until 2024. The total funding will amount to almost 22 billion rubles, most of which are extrabudgetary sources. Financing is also provided from the federal (352.4 million rubles) and republican (653.1 million rubles) budgets.
