Ufa Eastern Exit opening will seriously change republican road network
The Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, expressed his hope that the Eastern Exit from Ufa would be implemented by the end of this year.
“This is what we are working on because we have a clear understanding: if we stop the construction of the Eastern Exit due to underfunding or for some reason, it will be hard to swing again, it may take years. I think, in principle, we have passed the threshold of no return because we have already met the main basic volumes. Therefore, in case of support from the Federal Highway Agency, we will hand over the Eastern Exit by the end of this year. And we are looking forward to it,” said Radiy Khabirov, answering the Bashinform News Agency question after a meeting in the Dyurtyulinsky district dedicated to road construction.
The Head of the Federal Road Agency, Roman Novikov, noted that the republic, including with federal support, is implementing a large investment capital-intensive project - the Eastern Exit from Ufa.
“This is an illustrative example. Because along with attracting a large amount of federal co-financing for 26 billion rubles, funds are raised from the republic and investors. What the President of the country pays attention to today. This is indicative of technical facilities because the Eastern Exit connects the federal highways M-7 and M-5 in terms of organization. Of course, such objects will have a very serious impact on the change in the road network of the republic. This is the convenience of users, which are new drivers for the economy because new logistics routes are emerging. And all this should positively impact the overall road infrastructure of the region. Both the Federal Road Agency and the Government Commission for Regional Development support such projects,” said Roman Novikov.
Currently, 2,232 people and 246 units of construction machinery and equipment are involved in the construction of the Eastern Exit from Ufa.
As of February 1, the technical readiness of the facility’s construction is 61%.
