Peasant farms of Bashkiria can lease agricultural land for 5 years without bidding

The regional Ministry of Agriculture reported that peasant farms in Bashkiria could lease agricultural land for five years without bidding.

This became possible due to the amendments to the federal law "On the turnover of agricultural land" that came into force.

“Small forms of management play a significant role in the production of agricultural products in Bashkortostan. Since 2012, the number of farms in the republic has increased by 1.8 times, and their share in the gross agricultural production has increased by more than 3 times,” said Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Agriculture Ilshat Fazrakhmanov.

In his opinion, changes in land legislation will play a significant role in the development of farming in Bashkiria. The ability to rent land without bidding will significantly facilitate the task of farmers who are actively developing their farms.

“The main goal of such changes is to create favorable conditions for those who are engaged in agriculture when providing land plots that are state or municipal property. Thus, farmers will be able to receive land in a simplified manner,” explained the republican Deputy Minister of Land and Property Relations, Artur Amanbaev.

At the same time, the law establishes a ban on changing the intended purpose of such a land plot, a prohibition on transferring a property to a third party, including sublease, collateral, making it as a contribution to the charter capital of a business partnership or company, or a share contribution to a production cooperative.

As Bashinform News Agency previously reported regarding Andrey Nazarov, the prime minister of the Bashkiria government, the plan for introducing agricultural land was over fulfilled by 8.5%. So, in 2022, 32.7 thousand hectares were circulated in the region.
