5% of crops in poor condition - winter crops condition was measured in Bashkiria

According to the latest survey in January, 95% of winter crops in Bashkiria are in good and satisfactory condition, and 5% are in poor condition, the Ministry of Agriculture reported. The safety of crops is primarily affected by the height of the snow cover. If it is sufficient, no frosts are terrible.

For example, 18,000 hectares of winter crops have been sown in the Davlekanovsky District. 75% of the crops are in good condition, 20% are in satisfactory condition, and 5% are in poor condition. In the Buraevsky district, 96% of winter crops are in good condition, and a similar picture is in the surveyed farms of Belebeevsky.

As Bashinform News Agency reported, 188.5 thousand hectares of winter wheat, 122.4 thousand hectares of winter rye, 8 thousand hectares of winter triticale, and 9 thousand hectares of winter camelina were sown in the region for the 2023 harvest.
