188 thousand tons of sugar produced in Bashkiria
Processing of beets harvested in 2022 continues at two sugar factories in the republic. According to the Republican Ministry of Agriculture, by January 23, Raevsugar and the Chishminsky plant processed 1.244 million tons of root crops and produced almost 188 thousand tons of white sugar. With a medical norm of 8 kg per person, this volume is nearly six times more.
Raevsugar produced 94.5 thousand tons of products, Chishminsky plant had 93.5 thousand tons.
The 2022 sugar beet harvest amounted to 1.3 million tons, with an average yield of 31.24 t/ha and a moderate sugar content of 17%.
