Record level of 3 million square meters of housing was reached in Bashkiria in 2022

At a meeting of the Republican Government, chaired by Prime Minister Andrey Nazarov, the construction sector’s work results were discussed, and the upcoming tasks were identified. The Prime Minister noted that Bashkortostan consistently occupies a leading position in housing commissioning. As Bashinform News Agency reported, the residential construction volume increased by 1.1% compared to last year in Bashkiria in 2022.

“The republic reached a record 3 million square meters of housing in 2022, and the problem of deceived equity holders are effectively solved. Last year, 70 houses were excluded from the unified register of problematic objects. This made it possible to restore the violated rights of about three thousand people. With the help of infrastructural budgetary loans for 9.6 billion rubles, two large-scale infrastructure projects were launched - the integrated development of Neftekamsk and the Southern Gates of Ufa. We expect their result to be the commissioning of about 8 million square meters of housing. I would also like to note the implementation of the federal program Stimulus. The agreement provides for constructing 13 facilities worth almost 3.8 billion rubles in 2023”, Andrey Nazarov said.

According to the Government’s press service, Yegor Rodin, Acting Minister of Construction and Architecture, reported in more detail about the results of work in the construction sector and the upcoming tasks. He said that 2022 was the best year in terms of housing construction. The republic has exceeded the record bar of 2021.

“Bashkortostan is the leader among the regions of Russia in attracting federal funds under the Stimulus program, which made it possible in 2022 to ensure the commissioning of more than 1 million square meters of housing through the construction of 17 engineering, transport, and social infrastructure facilities. Also, as part of implementing measures to resettle citizens from the emergency housing stock, out of 45, 41 apartment buildings with a total area of 230 thousand square meters were put into operation”, said Yegor Rodin.

The Prime Minister instructed to ensure that the commissioned housing volume remains at least 3 million square meters.

“It is also necessary to complete the program implementation for the resettlement of citizens from dilapidated housing for 2019–2023, approve a new program, and fully resolve the issue of restoring the rights of participants in shared construction”, Andrey Nazarov added.
