Exporters of Bashkiria can compensate up to 25% of the cost of transporting agricultural products, the press service of the republican government reported.
My Export platform will begin accepting applications for compensation for part of the costs of transporting agricultural and food products from Russian exporters from January 19. Manufacturers and suppliers of farm products in Bashkiria will be able to compensate up to 25% of the costs of transporting agricultural products, the deliveries of which occurred in the 3rd and 4th quarters of 2022, as well as in the 1st and 2nd quarters of 2023.
“Last year, enterprises of the agro-industrial complex of the republic exported almost 400,000 tons of products worth about 280 million US dollars,” said Ilshat Fazrakhmanov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Government and Republican Minister of Agriculture.
In the structure of exports, almost 75% falls on oil and fat products, and the rest is seeds, alcohol, honey, cereals, dairy, and meat products. The main deliveries are to Iran, Turkey, Kazakhstan, China, Belarus, and Uzbekistan.
“We plan to increase the volume of exported products and the geography of counterparty countries. Measures of state support for exporters will also play a significant role here,” the Deputy Prime Minister added.
Partial compensation of transportation costs is still one of the most relevant and popular measures to support exporters of agricultural products in Bashkiria. The funds received allow the enterprises of the region to expand or modernize production, as well as increase the competitiveness of their products, the republican Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations noted.
Applications for grants will be accepted until November 1, 2023.
As Bashinform News Agency reported earlier, the production of agricultural products in Bashkiria in 2022 exceeded 240 billion rubles. Agricultural production increased by 30 percent in the region over the year.
