The delegation of Bashkiria will visit the Minsk Automobile Plant, Amkodor, Belshina, Gomselmash, and others. During the meetings at the highest level, the republic will present to the Belarusian side proposals for the further development of cooperation.
Bashkiria and Belarus have made significant progress in strengthening foreign economic cooperation. According to the results of 10 months of 2022, Belarusian exports to the Republic of Bashkortostan increased by more than 30%. In recent years, our republic has been actively increasing trade with a friendly state. It amounted to $292.2 million in 2021. By the end of 2022, it is expected to grow to $300 million.
As Bashinform News Agency reported, Bashkiria intends to increase mutual trade with Belarus to $1 billion annually. Minsk recognizes that this goal is achievable.
“There are enough projects in our basket that will allow us to reach this milestone. I want to say that companies, businesses, and officials are quite motivated. Our cooperation is multifaceted - export and import mutual deliveries and cooperation projects. It is essential that we combine our scientific and industrial potential,” said Prime Minister of Belarus Roman Golovchenko.
Cooperation develops
One of the leading areas of cooperation between Bashkiria and Belarus is the development of ties in the industrial and agricultural sectors and cooperation in the work of enterprises. In particular, in Bashkiria, options for cooperation with the Belarusian OAO Mogilevliftmash are being worked out. As Bashinform News Agency reported, this enterprise is considering localizing production in Bashkiria. Belebeevsky plant "Avtonormal" (JSC "BelZAN") develops cooperation with enterprises of Belarus. The enterprise intends to increase the supply of products to partners from Belarus by 77% in 2023.
Large investment projects are being implemented to produce equipment for grain processing and create a production and service center for the largest machine-building holding Amkodor in Bashkortostan for a total of 2.5 billion rubles. The construction of the facilities is planned to be completed in 2023.
As Bashinform News Agency reported, Belarusian agricultural machinery and equipment production was localized in Bashkortostan. These are the Minsk Tractor and Motor Plants, Zapagromash, Gomselmash, and the Gomel Casting and Normal Plant. In Bashkiria, a state support program subsidizes the cost of purchasing agricultural machinery assembled on the republic's territory. The Belarusian Gomselmash has also joined the program, which plans to supply 100 units of harvesting equipment annually from 2023 to 2027.


Not only the economy
Cooperation between Bashkiria and Belarus is developing in both the economic and industrial spheres and the humanitarian and cultural spheres. The republic intends to develop air communication with a friendly country, and an agreement was signed on cooperation in organizing children's recreation. Joint tourism is being developed. Mutual interest is evidence that the peoples of Bashkiria and Belarus are fraternal, we were part of one country, and now we are drawing closer within the framework of the Union State.
At the operational meeting of the government on Monday, January 16, Radiy Khabirov once again emphasized the importance of developing partnership relations with Belarus.
“Belarus is one of our key partners, so we regularly meet and work with them. We have established fraternal relations with this republic,” Radiy Khabirov said.
Earlier, Bashinform News Agency reported that in June 2023, Ufa would host the tenth-anniversary forum of the regions of Russia and Belarus, to which Radiy Khabirov invited Vladimir Putin during his recent visit to Bashkiria.
