Bashkiria exported first batch of buckwheat to EU in 2023

This first batch of buckwheat went abroad from Bashkiria. Belgium became its recipient, according to the regional department of Rosselkhoznadzor. Groats undergo mandatory control procedures before export. In the first half of January 2023, the agency controlled more than 40 tons of buckwheat exported from the republic to the European Union.

The department noted that the agricultural products of Bashkiria are regularly supplied to European countries. Thus, last year 47 batches of buckwheat were sent from Bashkiria to the European Union and Turkey. The total weight of groats sold abroad during the year amounted to 879.8 tons. Of this volume, 443.4 tons were sold to Belgium and 377 tons to Turkey.

Specialists during laboratory studies conducted the necessary examinations at the Bashkir Testing Center. No hazardous organisms have been identified in the products, and it meets the requirements of the countries of the European Union and importing countries, the Rosselkhoznadzor administration for Bashkiria noted.
