Bashkiria will receive 1.4 billion rubles in federal tranche to fight unemployment

Bashkiria will receive a tranche of 1.4 billion rubles to fight unemployment. Payments are provided for by the federal budget for 2023, Andrey Nazarov, head of the regional Cabinet, said at a government meeting.

According to him, this will cover about 17,000 people with temporary employment, public works, and vocational training.

“Last year, more than 1,500 employers received the support of almost 1.5 billion rubles. This made it possible to maintain employment and employ more than 29,000 residents of the republic. We had a goal - to prevent crises in the labor market. We succeeded: our unemployment rate is lower than the average for Russia (3.8%) and Volga Federal District (3.1%). Thanks to timely measures taken, the situation in the labor market not only stabilized but also improved. At the end of 2022, our republic took 2nd place in terms of federal funds raised to implement additional measures to support the labor market and 1st place in organizing training for workers at industrial enterprises at risk of dismissal. This is an excellent indicator,” Andrey Nazarov said.
