Russia's federal budget expenditures amounted to over 31 trillion rubles in 2022, and revenues - almost 28 trillion rubles, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said.
At the same time, according to Mishustin, all social obligations to citizens were fulfilled, and enterprises were also supported.
Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said that the Russian budget deficit in 2022 amounted to 3.3 trillion rubles - less than 2% of GDP, as initially planned. During the government meeting, the Minister of Finance explained that in 2022 the budget policy was aimed at supporting the people of Russia, fulfilling social obligations, and helping entrepreneurs.
“Last year, we overfulfilled the revenue plan — the total revenue amounted to almost 28 trillion rubles — 2.8 trillion rubles higher than we planned,” Siluanov said.
He explained the increase in income to the situation that has developed in the global energy market - Russia has managed to earn more on oil and gas. The additional resources were used to fund the costs.
