Bashkiria exported more than 95 thousand tons of feed additives to Europe

Bashkiria exported more than 95 thousand tons of feed additives to Europe in 2022, the republican department of the Rosselkhoznadzor reported.

Last year, the department controlled more than 1.3 thousand railway cars with granulated sunflower and rapeseed meals produced by oil extraction enterprises of Bashkiria when sending for export.

“Valuable feed additive for farm animals with a total weight of almost 95.5 thousand tons from Bashkiria was shipped to Germany, Denmark, Latvia, and Norway,” said the department of Rosselkhoznadzor for the region. “All herbal products comply with the European Union's and importing countries' requirements.”

As Bashinform News Agency reported earlier, animal feed manufacturers can receive grants from the federal budget. This applies to agricultural producers implementing projects in the production of feed and feed additives for animals, the development of breeding and seed production of oilseeds, the improvement of the genetics of beef cattle, and the development of viticulture. A decree approved this decision of the government of the Russian Federation.

The grant funds will purchase materials and equipment for molecular biology, bioengineering, genetic work, and various agricultural equipment.

Subsidies will allow agricultural producers to introduce competitive domestic technologies and reduce dependence on foreign analogs.

Among the expected results are the creation of new domestic varieties of oilseeds, improved breeds of cattle, as well as the development and production of the latest animal feed additives.
