In Russia, they decided to extend the moratorium on business inspections until the end of 2023. Information about this was published on the official Telegram channel of the Russian government.
It is reported that from this year, scheduled inspections will be carried out only at facilities of extraordinarily high and high-risk categories. It also became possible to cancel a planned event if, at the initiative of the audited organization, the inspector had already paid a preventive visit.
As before, unscheduled inspections will be carried out on instructions from the president, the government, and the requirements of the prosecutor's office, as well as based on information received by the supervisory authorities about the existence of risks of violation of mandatory requirements.
The resolution allows business representatives, in respect of whom an inspection is planned, to apply to the control body with a request for a preventive visit.
Its main difference from inspections is that there are no fines and punishments based on the results of such an event. This practice is actively used in the context of the moratorium on scheduled and unscheduled inspections.
